Lyngby Candel holder - Inspired by porcelain, moulded in glass. Porcelain has always been the mainstay of the Danish Porcelain Manufactory – Lyngby Porcelæn, but glass and glass art have also been there on the sidelines, as the factory was originally founded by glass wholesalers. The Lyngby tealight holders supplement the existing glassware variants. Two tealight holders of two different sizes, suitable for coffee tables, window sills and beautifully laid dinner tables. The Taper holder is created in collaboration with the Formgiverne design studio, run by Cecilie Toklum and Robert Larsen. The new products put classic Lyngby styling in a contemporary context with a modern design for a candle holder, paying tribute to all that is familiar while inviting you to create your very own light sculpture. Both candle holders reinterpret the familiar grooves and both are based on the same pure cylinder on a foot as the Lyngby vase. These lines are broken by a distinct waist, which draws the grooves together, making them narrower to form the holder. This extremely simple but effective design makes it possible for the designers to add their own creativity to the iconic universe without deconstructing the familiar grooves.
